Vegan Chickpea Pancakes

Pancake Day, Shrove Tuesday, Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday. Whatever you call it, they've all got one thing in common...👀

You will probably eat too many pancakes today, and we are SO here for it 🥞

Here's our recipe for Vegan Chickpea Pancakes, topped with delicious BRAVE Dark Chocolate Chickpeas, whipped coconut cream and drizzled in maple syrup 🤤

(Makes 6 pancakes)

  • 80g Plain flour
  • 60g Chickpea flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp Caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 150ml Plant milk
  • Coconut oil for cooking
  • BRAVE Dark Chocolate Chickpeas
  • Maple syrup
  • Whipped coconut cream


  1. In a bowl combine the flours, salt, baking powder and caster sugar
  2. In a jug combine the plant milk and vanilla extract. Gradually add this to the flour mixture and whisk until you get a smooth batter
  3. Heat a frying pan on a medium-high heat and melt your coconut oil. Once it has reached temperature, add two tablespoons of the pancake mixture and spread to to create a circular pancake
  4. Cook on one side (approx 1 minute), then flip and repeat on the other side
  5. Serve in a stack with maple syrup, whipped coconut cream and some BRAVE Dark Chocolate Roasted Chickpeas!
